Warmest decades? Late 17th, early 18th centuries
Analysis of the Central England temperatures, the longest continuous record of temperatures in existence, shows that the late 20th century warming was low, not high, when compared with the past 300 years. These figures essentially give the lie to the myth of “unprecedented” 20th century warming.
